According to China Huadian Corporation, the largest photovoltaic project under construction in the world with the highest altitude - Xizang Mangkang Angdo 1800 MW photovoltaic power generation project has completed the pouring of three 220 kV booster stations, and is expected to be grid connected for power generation by the end of 2025.

Ondor 1800 MW photovoltaic project is located in Mangkang County, Xizang, with an altitude of 4200 to 4800 meters and an area of about 45 square kilometers. It is the largest clean energy power generation project under construction in the world, with the highest altitude and the most complete ecological and environmental protection measures.

Li Bingbing, Director of the Engineering Management Department of Huadian Jinshang Changdu New Energy Co., Ltd., stated that the overall construction of the pile foundation and the installation of the support components have been completed, and efforts are being made to ensure that the construction and operation of the Jinshang to Hubei ultra-high voltage direct current transmission line will be synchronized by 2025.

After the completion of the project, the annual power generation will be about 5.4 billion kilowatt hours, saving about 1.67 million tons of standard coal and reducing 3.74 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year. It is of great significance to help achieve the "dual carbon" goal and accelerate the construction of a national water, wind and solar integrated demonstration base.
