On October 31st, the world's first mobile thermal injection platform, "Thermal Recovery No.1," independently developed and built by China, was delivered in Weihai, Shandong. Its successful delivery has filled the gap in the field of mobile equipment for offshore heavy oil thermal recovery in China.

It is reported that the "Hot Mining No.1" is 82 meters long and 42 meters wide, with a two-story deck area of over 3000 square meters and a height of more than 20 floors. Its operating water depth is 35 meters, and it weighs over 10000 tons during operation, which can withstand typhoons of level 16. The mobile injection platform design and high-temperature and high-pressure steam pipeline compensation applied by it are world firsts.
Compared with fixed oil production platforms for heat injection, "Hot Recovery No.1" has the ability to move and reach different platforms under the traction of a tugboat for rapid heat injection, effectively reducing the cost of heavy oil development and promoting the scale of heavy oil thermal recovery to become a reality.
The "Hot Recovery No.1" is an upgraded version of China's first domestically designed and constructed offshore mobile trial production platform, the "Offshore Oil 162". The "Hot Recovery No.1" has the largest three sets of steam boiler systems in offshore oil fields, which can quickly inject high-pressure steam with a temperature exceeding 350 ℃ into six oil wells at the same time, reducing the viscosity of heavy oil and making it a "thin oil" with good fluidity and easy exploitation. The overall efficiency of heat injection operations is more than three times that of the past.
