Starting from the first set of coal direct liquefaction process equipment, Nuwave Valve has gradually become the "optimal choice" from a cost-effective "alternative solution", and has become a key link in the "national production" of petrochemical industry.

In domestic chemical equipment, 80% of valves are made in China, and 20% of core and critical valves still rely on imports. The price of these 20% is much higher than the total price of 80%. The original intention of Nuwave  factory construction was to achieve the localization of these 20% components, "said Wang Zhangyong, the person in charge of Nuwave .

However, the huge production scale and production costs determine the selection principle of petrochemical enterprises - to avoid risks and not easily try "new products". Before the opening of the market for its flagship products, Nuwave not only relied on Wang Zhangyong's other equipment companies for "blood transfusion" support, but also undertook the maintenance business of imported equipment. During the maintenance, Wang Zhangyong gradually discovered the drawbacks of imported components: they were not compatible with domestic equipment, had a short lifespan, and were expensive. And these issues are precisely the breakthrough direction that Wang Zhangyong's products aim for. During the 'dark night march' before seeing the 'dawn', Wang Zhangyong continuously carried out data collection and technical reserve related work.

In 2013, the opportunity finally arrived. At that time, Shenhua Group independently developed a set of coal direct liquefaction process equipment, one of which was originally monopolized by foreign brands for its hydrogen high-pressure valve. In cooperation, Nujing has gone from participating in maintenance and technological upgrades to tailoring components for domestically produced equipment. Before achieving domestic substitution, the price of an imported valve was 8 million yuan, and it needed to be repaired every 2 years, while the price of a domestically produced valve manufactured in New York was only 4 million yuan. Valves can be put into use for more than 7 years in good condition, and it has been proven that domestic valves are not a "cheap replacement", but rather the "optimal choice" with advantages in performance, lifespan, and price. The cooperation between Shenhua and Nujing has connected the industrial chain and technology chain of "national industrialization". At the same time, Nuwave  domestically produced valves have also opened the door to the petrochemical industry chain with successful cases.

After establishing a long-term strategic partnership with Shenhua Group, large petrochemical companies such as PetroChina and Sinopec have gradually included New York in their list of partners. At present, Shanghai Nuwave Valve Co., Ltd. is the only enterprise in China that can produce critical hydrogen valves under the same working conditions. Under hydrogen application conditions with a pressure of 4500 pounds and a temperature of 538 ℃, Nuwave valves can still maintain long-term operation, "said Wang Zhangyong proudly.

In recent years, with the increasing support from the government for equipment localization and policy dividends, the development path of Shanghai Nuwave Valve Co., Ltd. has become wider and wider. Especially in the international trade environment of recent years, more and more domestic enterprises have realized the importance of "national production" of equipment, and have started to "team up" for research and development, creating more "localization corps".
